“...The boys are settling in!  We have set up a kitten apartment for them and they are having fun! We sat with them before dinner and they were cuddling. Our friends, Dennis and Alan, stopped by with lots of new toys for them! They loved them.   Our Theodore is handling it surprisingly well. He goes downstairs and stares at them through the French doors.  So far so good.  He stared down Beach Bum.  Kind of cute!

Rick and I both feel very confident that if we have questions we can contact you. Your name has come up a few times! We bathed them once. That was an experience, but the cat tips you provided were very helpful. I am just so happy knowing that you are close by.

We just love the boys!  We can't imagine our family without them.  They are so affectionate and always "helping".

We are so happy with them both.  Thank you for raising such beautiful kittens.  We will keep you updated on their progress.  I am so glad you are close by.  Kitten play dates!...”

And now the fun stuff...

“I have owned several Persians/ Himalayans because I love their sweet disposition so much.  Unfortunately, because of poor breeding methods several of them passed away prematurely from polycystic kidney disease.  I decided to look for a "breeder" with integrity and thankfully found Polly.  She has her cats tested for PKD and does medical check ups before parting with her kittens.

All of her cats are registered with CFA therefore she can provide full pedigrees; the lines are certain.  She has great knowledge and so can advise her clients while continuing to find ways to ensure the very best of health for her cats.

I know this sounds like a commercial but I am extremely happy with my cat Chloë: great loving disposition, low-maintenance care, very playful.  I also trust that I will have her for a long time to come.  I do recommend Polly very highly.”

“I acquired Gaby, a darling bi-color Persian kitten, from Polly a month ago. Polly is a responsible breeder: Her home is clean; the felines are clean and healthy; she encouraged me to visit Gaby before he was old enough to leave her place; she gave me papers and instructions on his care and feeding.

Gaby is the picture of health and has a delightful personality. He is playful, funny, and purrs the instant I touch him. He even sleeps in my arms. I recommend Polly Smith with enthusiasm and without reservations!”

“I met Polly when she took the time out of her busy schedule to come to my home and meet me and my kitties.  I breed on a much smaller scale than what Polly has taken on but have a feel for what is involved in bringing these very special kitties to deserving homes.  I continue to be extremely impressed with Polly's honest and forthright approach to this endeavor, as well as her desire to become as informed as possible in every aspect of feline care.  Her love for the cats and kittens under her care is unquestionable as is her desire to provide the best possible experience for her clients when they adopt a kitten.  I can recommend her without hesitation.”

“For many years we have had himalayan kitties as part of our household.  Over the years I have met and worked with several breeders and there are few who really stand out as being exceptional.  One of these is Polly Smith from whom we recently purchased a chocolate point himalayan kitten.  This kitten and her siblings and companions have been raised in an ideal situation with tons of love, great care, and a lot of attention. Polly is very conscientious about nutrition, hygiene, surroundings, safety, health, and love for the kitties in her care.  I am pleased to recommend her cattery to anyone who would like a really fine kitten or cat who has been brought up very well.”

  1. First, a testimonial back to our clients, suppliers, and interested friends - who I think of as part of a growing family chain:

  2. Let me thank you for responding so graciously.  When we knew we needed to put something on this site for potential new clients to read, I almost hounded some of you for a few words.  Few times in my life have I felt so proud as when those words started to trickle back in to us.  Pictures, too.

  3. I am personally at a loss as to how to tell you what it means that you have been supportive of this business by choosing our cattery, then given meaningful homes to these wonderful kittens we feel blessed to raise, and now have spent the time and energy to give this generous gift which lifts my heart every time I read the words.

  4. I am far from perfect, but will do my best to uphold the faith you’ve shown in us.  Thank you.

6 Month Update:

“Having lost two successive -- and very much loved -- Persians to congenital cardiomyopathy and congenital PKD (polycystic kidney disease), my foremost criterion in finding a Persian kitten was a breeder who can assure me that her feline lines are free of these congenital diseases. Happily, her cats and kittens are without those heartbreaking birth defects.

But Polly and the kitten I selected turn out to be so much more!

Unlike some commercial breeders who breed solely for profit, and cynically use (and even abuse) their parent cats as mere tools, Polly is a responsible breeder who genuinely cares about and loves her cats. She encouraged me to visit my kitten before he was mature enough to leave Polly's home. I made three visits, and can say with personal testimony that Polly's home is clean, and the cats and kittens are healthy and clean (the mommies and kittens have separate rooms; so do the dads). Polly is thorough and conscientious, making sure that when I took Gaby home that I leave with detailed instructions for care. Polly is so thoughtful that she made sure Gaby left with a little "security blanket" that has his biological mommy's scent on it!

Now, about the kitten.

From the beginning when I first saw him, I found him to be overwhelmingly cute. When I took him home, he was 3 months old. He purrs the instant I touch him and, when he was smaller, even fell asleep in my arms. He is very intelligent, curious, playful, loving, and a source of joy. He makes me laugh and is better than ten psychiatrists put together. I love him with all my heart and soul.

Thank you, Polly! I wish you great success with "P3RSIANS and Himalayans"! Live long and prosper.  :-) “
