What is your shipping policy?

We do ship - in the sense that we will sell to out-of-state buyers.  There are additional charges that you should be aware of - California requires a health certificate beyond the normal vet check, and often microchipping is necessary.  We will take care of these arrangements for an at-cost fee, and meet you at an airport if necessary.  The only stipulations we have are the kitten(s) must fly in-cabin and after 14 weeks old.  We will even deliver the kitten(s) to clients in their home (airfare and costs are covered by you at-cost).  We are dedicated to finding loving parents for these babies, and will help you move heaven and earth to do so.

Is there a waiting list for new litters/ do you take deposits?

Yes - there’s a waiting list and it’s free to join!  When there are new kittens people on the list are given preference and they are added to our email list.  Beyond that, the easiest way for us to ensure fair choice is first come, first serve.  We take deposits on specific kittens, and once a deposit is taken, the kitten is unavailable and reserved.  It comes off the website immediately because there’s no point in leaving it there for someone else to fall in love with!

Do you support declawing?

We have never declawed any animal - it seems rather unnecessary and more for the convenience of the owner, in which case we feel the owner should arguably not have the animal.  Our viewpoint is If we are not committed to the time and small amount of trouble it takes to train our babies properly, we should probably not have them at all.  Not to mention - Persians and Himalayans have a very easygoing nature in particular, and rarely has a problem been reported with the proper ‘maintenance’ of clipping and providing alternative scratching places.  Besides; they so enjoy it - I enjoy watching my little lions!  Read this declawing brochure for great advice if you are experiencing problems, and many thanks to Steve at Steve’s Pet World for sharing his material and wisdom, and for the work he does on behalf of our fuzzy charges.

What does your health guarantee involve?

We offer a generous two-year genetic health guarantee.  We figure our kitties should be healthy and strong when they come to you, and stand behind that assertion.  Before they enter your home, they must pass muster: they have their shots, are de-wormed, and treated proactively for giardia and ringworm; two non-harmful though nuisance conditions which you should not have to deal with!  Our parent cats are flea-free, and will have been vet tested for Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FeLV/FIV).  Further, each kitten is submitted for a thorough individual vet check where they are examined for skeletal abnormalities, heart defects, bite and eye issues, skin conditions, and testes checks for the little boys... whew!  Last, but not least, we promise no in-, line-, or over-breeding and PKD (a problem within the Persian breed especially) negative parents (tested by DNA analysis, not the less reliable ultrasound), and stand behind that promise with documentation for the kittens, who will be 99.99% negative also.
